A little goes a long way. Apply a small amount to affected area to calm and heal your skin.
PA's Advice: Sprinkle turmeric powder on eczema after applying balm to further reduce itchiness and redness. Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant that will help relieve itchiness and inflammation. If your eczema feels hot, apply plain yogurt to the area before applying the balm. The plain yogurt will cool the skin and its naturally occurring zinc will help reduce the heat and irritation. Reapply when necessary. **You may feel a burning sensation when you apply the turmeric to open skin. This feeling, though a little uncomfortable, lasts for only 10-15 minutes and results in reduced redness and calmed irritation. If you have very wet, open eczema apply balm on its own until skin dries.
* For sensitive skin always do a patch test before applying balm to large area. A patch test is a test to detect an allergic reaction by applying a new product to the skin. Apply balm to the inside elbow or behind the ear, and examine the area for signs of irritation after 10 minutes.
